found this old C-core trafo
got tired of trying to figure out how it works
but looking at the latest prices of even smaller toroids, ouch

pri volts, 110-130-220-240V
my guess, third wire is 20V
next guess, the one going from one winding to the other

any ideas ?

btw, if the exstra 20V is placed on one winding only, it might explain a very small 'imbalance', between the sec windings
or maybe its low pri volts(110/220) that have the exstra winding

and to build symmetric supply, I may have to cut the connection between the windings, yes?

or simpler, just scrabe the wire, and solder the ground to there

scrabed it, and measured 18.85-0-18.85V on the 220V pri, and 17.5-0-17.5V on the 240V pri

looks like I could be in luck and found real gold

this trafo is much older
