Why you don't put the regs inside the RIAA? you don't have room?

I too have put the regs in the same box as the transformers, would it be better to have them in the same box as the consumers?
regs better near load.
What are the downsides and are there big improvements having them close?
The shorter the wires the better, even with Kelvin connection.
If you can, put in the PS box rectifiers and first cap and regulators close to to RIAA circuit.
Since the rectifiers are on the board with the regulator I am leaving them in the same chassis. When I put the complete unit into the cabinet with the other equipment I will make the connecting wires from the power supply box to the riaa box as short as possible. Should be only a couple inches.

Great I have plenty of cat 5 wire. I am thinking 2 strands per connection.
I fuse both in case there is a mix up in the houses wiring. Making up the connection to one fuse or two is about the same amount of work and I saw no reason not to.
I will Put heat shrink over the exposed connections of the fuses and or a small plastic cover over the whole area.
Thanks, Evan

if the Neutral line fuse blows, there is a high risk that the chassis can be LIVE, even though the equipment "sounds" dead.I saw no reason not to.
Hi all,
Feeding the Low MC from a 12VAC source as per pdf does the 7809 need heatsink ?
Rephrasing my question, from your experience how much dissipation the 7809 can do without any heatsink ?
It won't need one, in this case it will dissipate 90mW and it can be relatively safe for ~1W on its own.
