As with a lot of threads in this area. Most of the answers are the big boys just trying to show you how much they think they know.

The simplest mixer is the resistive adding circuit.

OK it has a gain of -3dB. If this is an issue, which it normally wont be, increase the gain of the amplifier by 3dB. And it costs about 0.03 GBP.
 
Hi Andy,
If you look at the pictures I posted on the previous page. This is how the amp/mixer I bought is designed. It uses 470 caps all over. I am just trying to insure that thee inputs are safely isolated. Any idea why the designer used those big caps on the input? I think they are electrolytic.
