Simple DC heating question

You could, but unless it is a direct heated tube or experiencing some humm, there is nothing to gain from it
The only end to regulate it would be to be on the safe side, there are places this amplifier is going to operate where I can get up to 250vac from the wall, while my home is at 220vac . This would yield an increase from 6.3vac to 7.1vac, which is pretty dangerous for tube long life.
