The evil "Ana" who is my son's cat. She was a feral kitten who has never taken to anyone but him. She likes to dig dead leaves out of my plant pots and spread them around the house. Here she is getting ready to go for the plant.

Is that plant a dieffenbachia? If so they are, or can be, toxic to cats and dogs (and other animals). Not usually lethal I think, but usually cats don't like them once they've had a taste. Maybe your son's is masochistic? Or maybe the dead leaves are enjoyable. Kitty cocaine?

Mauro, 6 months old.
He is with us for 3 months now.
His favorite is the sound of running water but as a second best, I think he prefers the sound of the double bass :D

This was my last but one cat...he was killed on the road some 6 years or more ago whilst still in his prime. Started as an inner-city street cat in Manchester, moved by rescuer to London and ended up with us. We brought him to Scotland which he loved. Great natural mouser and ratter...even brought a badly savaged dog weasel home. But as you can see he had a softer more poetic side as well as that of a fierce warrior! :)
