ZV9 Pre Amplifier Clone
hi Mad_K
and friends
It might be possible to build a
ZV9 Pre Amplifier Clone
using for example 2SK170V ( max current 20 mA version )
and IRF610 or some smaller, TO-92, MOSFET
Of course we should try to find N Channel JFET
with high current for more linear driving of lower load impedances.
It is the same here as with TUBES --- you can not get too much current!
What you say, friends ?
... wonder if somebody else already tried this at home
It can be the most clean basic type, like in my attached image
or a clone of the Negative Feedback ZV9 version.
I have tried to use realistic component values
based on what I know of 2SK170V and IRF610.
But you may have to change values in my schematic.

Hi Lineup!
I still have some because I didn't want to build the ZV9 after the SEWA - ZV9 tests.....

What about to use the original Lovoltec JFets???Of course we should try to find N Channel JFET with high current for more linear driving of lower load impedances.

Ryssen said:Mad_K any BOZ PCB´s yet?
Due to the low interest, I have not ordered any BOZ pcbs. From my last quote (rev1) the prices where: 10pcbs:34USD/pc 20pcbs:21USD/pc. The Rev2 board is a little bigger, but not much, so prices should be similar. If we could scrounge together 10 people, I would consider ordering 20 boards and expect to get rid of the rest later.
Well you can write me up for 1 PCB for a start. If we could scrounge together 10 people, I would consider ordering 20 boards and expect to get rid of the rest later.
preamp question
Hi Mads!
I would like to ask an offtopic question:
In the Aleph L 1.2 Preamp (2nd version) there is a 10pF cap (C104).
Could I use a higher values cap like 100pF or not? I have a 10pF ceramic 50V, but I cann't get 10pF/100V. Only 100pF/100V.
Next week I will try to make a preamp listening test with SEWA!

Re: preamp question
You need 10pF. 50V will do.

hi madsK, l must say l was very impressed with your design having heard it at TYIMios place in hungary on my recent visit there a couple of mths ago and i was thinking of building one for myself too..... only thing is l want to use an existing traffo l heve with 15.5 v secondries..... being a novice l wonder if this is ok or not?.... by my calcs this will give 36v dc is this too much or will the circuit and devices handle it thanks and
