service manual for Cambridge Azur 840E preamp

And I three "3" of them (CA 840E) !

I have 2 of these and love them!

I would like to mod one of them to see if I can improve it.

Lots of bipolar caps in it. Cheap opamps are mainly for functions I do not use, like XLR inputs et.c.

Hello guys: I too love this preamp; I have thee of them ! It;s a very much under-the-radar linestage.

YET, as all owners must know, the runaway, cracking/shorting 'volume control' is a major disappointment. YET, fixable.

I'll be sending in my third 840E for te mandatory volume relay replacement -and power supply capacitors. There was a fine chap at Audiogon who suggested some replacement parts Figitsu (Japanese) relay's that are drop-in replacements. With twenty-eight relays used for volume (14/channel) it's a time-consuming job -with the requiiste precision de-soldering/soldering skill of old/new relays.

In any case, I think I may have the service manual/schematics. I'll take a look and post -if I can find it.
