Speakers are all about tradeoffs.
Ones with a lower sensitivity from reputable manufacturers usually have a much lower Fs or higher Xmax or both.
It's all about what your after. Myself, I'll take a lower SPL and Fs and mate with a tweeter than one with a screaming SPL and needs a sub.

If you want a FR speaker that goes good with SE tubes, may I suggest a Fonken from Planet10? It's a match made in hevan, IMO

hm. I've looked at them, frankly I don't really like how they look.. I'm more in the processes of just learning and experimenting things. My current plans are all over the loudspeaker and full range forums. lol. they're insane and crazy.
edit.. actually I wasn't aware of the micro fonken.. those look more of my size.. I dont really get the plans though, how does the port work?!
