Finished my DCB1, need to cut a heatsink for both sides of shunt. Here is where I am at with the build. I decided to install the PRP and upgrade in the future, I'm gonna see how these sound!

P.S. Wendell, I wonder what is the colour when those different leds combine? Would like to see it lit up when sinked and powered.
P.S.2 (not the game machine). If those CCS setting resistors are 8K2 and not 8R2, there will be no lights.

Yeah Salas, Thanks for pointing out I have not yet tried to power with no sink. I will switch to 8r2.

It will be interesting how the Blue goes in Audionet's place since that company it is considered reference class stuff as far as I have read. Rest of the system looks potent to reveal.

I have no gain problem with the 107 dB/W/m avantgarde acoustic duo-omega horns.

The 300B "Ceasar II" is a rebuild from Netherland´s tube guru "Triode Dick".

I see, its a pentode anode CCS loaded triode. Not a DRD choke amp. The trick is to have enough output from the I/V so its able to fully drive the amp in peaks when with a unity gain pre. Should also have a bit more gain than average 300B due to the 6H30Π being CCSed.

Heatsink sizing

I just cut some sinks for the DCB1 that will be running hotrodded duty

The heatsink is 5" w x 3.5" h, is this too much. If needed I can trim down to 2.5" or 2".

If they fit your box, let them be, nobody ever got hurt by too much sinking.

wendell, do you intend to put the heatsinks left and right of the dcb1? How will you fasten the screws then?

I could even just use one of those sinks with the 4 mosfets soldered under board, and let the whole pcb be mounted on it, parallel.

difool, I was going to use a 90 degree angled screwdriver.

Salas, I was thinking about that also and planting it on its side to save space in chassis layout but was not sure if the sink was big enough. Hot Rod versions is described as burning, I don't want to use fan as I've seen on some other builds.

Could give it a try, your sink looks chunky for your current setting. Will go hot but those Mosfets are strong. Whatever you prefer, one or two, don't forget the isolating silicon pads.

Hi,
remember the FET Drains are at different voltages. Some or all of them must be electrically isolated from a common heatsink.
