I chopped the old one up and recycled the conductors for rewiring a vintage radio chassis excluding mains and heaters after testing them at 500V.
The insulation on the one I found was stamped 10 amps so it was clearly very dodgy.

Unfortunately, Trading Standards has no jurisdiction with sellers in China. The importer is to blame and that is, in this case, the buyer.
