Installed a RF setup for a friend..
2x 10's,sub amp,6x9's,etc. The subs sounded pretty good, despite being a bit underpowered in his setup.
The 6x9's were good too,but have the usual 6x9 "issues".
(I kinda dislike oval speakers..the cones tend to fold over too easily, and it sounds really nasty!)

I second the opinion from cancerkazoo, I have an 18" from ~97ish and it is bad***, even with the cheap crunch amp I ran with it. However the much newer '02-'03 12" hx2 which had a bd500.1 pushing it was not very impressive, both in a 5.0L hatchback, both w/ a dedicated battery 1 foot away. Very "muddy" sounding, didnt hit clean and hard like the old 18", still have both, the 18 is about to become a home theatre sub.
RF
RF has gone downhill over the years. Again commercialization and trying to stay competitive has forced them to reduce quality. They are considerably better stuff for they same price or less. Power Acoustic makes a pretty good sub for the price. I have Type-E subs made by Alpine. A very good sub verses cost.

I could not disagree with the negative opinions more, but I do respect the opinions of others, I just disagree. I have been running RF subs since 1989...they are only getting better! I currently run 2 Power T2 12"subs and these are by far the best subs I have owned from RF. As with ALL subwoofer, build the right enclosure and they work great!
