I have a pair of RFT Loudspeakers made in GDR. I really like the sound. I need to find replacement mids. The mids are RFT L1714. If unavailable, what would be the best way to go about replacing mids. I do not want to compromise sound quality. They are 4ohm. 2 3/4 inch drivers I have no other info.
Thanks

Hi,
some options:
- Visaton FRS8M is maybe an option (probably measurements/crossover tweaks required).
- Here is a german forum for rft: http://www.firmensystem.de/forum-rft-hifi.de
- This company was mentioned somewhere, they will propably repair them: http://www.nt-acoustics.de/
-Try to get Foam surrounds and decent glue and fix them by yourself
Good Luck, Micha
