How much do you think? 250R resistor for -1 volt on the grid? or more even?
I checked a few guitar amp schematics and they seem to range between 0.65v and 1.5v grid bias on the input. I don't know how much output voltage one expects from a [typical] guitar (if there is such a thing). But it looks like -1v on the grid is probably okay.
