This is the initial drawing of the digital board, I guess this is pretty much standard.
First I opted for a PIC controller, but changed to Atmel after a tip from mcs
Still need to check the values for the resistors on both sides of the optocouplers
And there is no IR receiver connected, because I couldn't find the correct drawing for the component.
