This thread needs to be resurrected
Because of room and size restraint, I'm considering a "N" ripole.
I have the following requirements and looking for the most suitable "cabinet" and drivers.
-Back wall placement between 40 and 70cm
-Max width 33-36cm (instead of 38,4), but the height can be more (such as 45-50cm), is the total that matters, right?
-Upper freq around 200hz (it is not purely a subwoofer application)
It will be actively crossed, amplified and equalized, so efficiency is not a problem, but I want "speed" and low-distortion.
This is the example i'm following:
http://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/index_en.htm?/hifi/ripol_bau_en.htm
The size and response does not meet my needs, though (see above)
I can use their driver:
http://www.lautsprechershop.de/english/index_hifi.htm
or the Peerless SLS-315 which seems very suitable, or other drivers priced under 200€ each.

Not sure about a ripole up to 200hz
Well, "linesource-array" folded dipole have been used
Not sure, but maybe a WMTW arrangement would be different
