I will probably think a little and intuitively put a darlington in there and have everything messed up. That's the way I learn something.
In the first days of my audio hobby, I test working speakers (to know whether they are working or not) by connecting them to a battery. One day I dIdn't have a battery, so I connected the speaker driver to the powerline, and boom, I learnt something.
