this high Qts makes it a dipole/OB driver

and I suspect it might result in pretty good and detailed bass

but maybe not the kind of bass you expected

I was thinking more in the order of using it for something like pa use , just something to use for parties of 50 people or less.

4th order eh? Looks good, that is one I haven't tried in hornresp yet, interesting same front and rear chamber volumes as the 6th order bandpass I simmed. Also same -3db response on both ends.

for this type a bandpass is the way to proceed unless you want a 800ltr+ cab
i simmed it in winisd and get a decent responce 35`~40 hz in 350 litr.

Hey DJK I ran those box sizes and port dimensions through both hornresp and winISD and didn't get the response you indicated? There is a big peak near 100 hz and the f3 ends up around 45hz. Is there something I missed ?

I used BassBox v6.0, and posted the screen capture.

In the past I have built BP4 enclosures and verified the predicted numbers with other drivers.

I own 2 of these subs for my mobile disco running from an EP4000 amp and they have NEVER let me down even at full pelt! I mainly use them at home for my home cinema and are known by friends as the "Quake Makers"! I took my gear to an outdoor event last year called TadStock and the professional sound crew around the corner operating the main stage with 4 dual 18's got very curious about my subs.. They were amazed! they said even their subs couldn't get down as low as the 21's!

Well. They are ported and tuned to around 30hz.. I basically bought some 18mm mdf and chucked it all together using wood glue and bracing inside. H=27" W=25" D=24" Port length=15". It's still WIP as it needs carpeting and grilles.

with the very high qts spec posted by the late and great DJK, I like his idea of a BP4 with large front chamber - somewhere DJK posted a rule for how to figure that out. (wish my memory were better) -whether those T-S apply to other Pyle = ? - I don't think my Madison 21 had quite that high of qts.
