I am just curious of how you build/test your prototypes ?
I think creating PCBs just for testing is a little... off !
That's how my prototypes look:

Hi Mike,
Couple questions if I may:
1) I noticed you using carbon resistors in what looks like the output driver part of the amp prototype pic you posted. Motivation, reasons, et al for doing so?
2) I seen a few postings you have made. Are any of your designs posted? If wso where would I find them?

Hi John !
I never use carbon-resistors, the big brown at the outputdevices
are wire-resistors 0.1ohm, all other are metallicfilmresistors.
The only carbonstuff is the trimpot, but shouldn't matter.
You can find my latest amp at:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=501188#post501188
But i am still doing some finetuning and it's not very highpower, but
sounds very promising. (~50watt rms into 4ohm)
The other designs would be hard to find, but most of them have been
discarded, as not beeing "perfect".
I can search the schematic for this prototype if i'm back home.

Hi !
Looks nice ! (especially for prototype)
The resistors for testing are a "must", if something is really wrong,
it at least avoids the whole thing burning up...
Do you have testspeakers ? I mean some where it does not hurt
when they get damaged. I already blew 2 of them...
