$ 4inches sounds a little small and 8inches won't fit on the desk SO I'll see if I can find some really cheap 6inch woofers.

The subwoofer can (should) go below the desk.

Yes, I've seen the threads and had thought of that, but I think Chris is right, these little speakers are fairly thin around that 100-300 area.

I need to measure but it is not possible ATM due to financial constraints.

Plug them in to the winISD freq. generator, measure with your ears. Cheapest way I've found.

Which I've just made (using Visaton FRS8 drivers), which go to 60Hz and below at reasonable levels (that's an octave below Fs).

You can use any full-range driver, but some will be better than others.

The volume of the rear box doesn't seem to matter. And I didn't include ports.
