ULVECO transformers are quite good but typically you'll find that they are priced at two to three times the price that John charges for a custom job!! This may also depend on weather you have a local distributor in your country or weather you have to convert the currency yourself and pay duties and shippping. The same higher pricing goes for Avel, Toroid Corp, Plitron, and others.
Ask for a custom from any of them and you'll end up having to re-mortgage your house to afford just one. Toroid Corp sells a Toroid kit on which you can wind your own secondary. Don't know about doing the calculations for the secondary...they'll do the calculations for you for a mere $175.00 plus the $72.00 for the 700 VA kit itself.
IMHO Victoria Magnetics is pretty hard to beat in both quality and in pricing.
