Has your wife chucked you out of the house?

:D

he, nay, it was built fore a teenage nephew
I guess his wife is the kind spender now :p

thanks Carlos
I think it will need a couple of nicer looking control knobs
hell, I dont even know yet if it still works

not really sure yet what I will do
leave it as is, or change it
I should have the schematic, somewhere

legend of instability like most elektor circuits .....

Yes, Sakis, please post those 10+ issues with the crescendo somewhere...

I have seen too many "failed" crescendos. Yes it is a legend of instability. Funny thing is I have never seen one mini-crescendo failed. Crescendo PCB from Elektor imo is horrible, but people keep producing that PCB. Never seen alternative PCB on the net. May be Alex can help :D At least for the SSA version as built by Christophe Esperado.

Three_Legend,

that heatsink is way too small. But you can put your amp in front of air conditioner or inside a refrigerator. Indonesians are resourceful, aren't they? :D

Here is my B1 Buffer with 10dB gain of Pre-amp

ESP P3A clone. Performing flawless for more than 1 year now.

Case is home-made using anodized 3mm aluminum plate and 100x6mm aluminum flat bar.

Heat sinks are HeatSinkUSA 8.46" model, tapped to hold everything together with 8-32 screws.

Is it a light pipe from a remote LED?

That is it.
I used to use something called 'stretch magic'.
It is a tough elastic available in different diameters, intended for arts and crafts.

Since then I have switched to cheap toslink cable.
Much more efficient and can do any distance.
It does a neat 1mm diameter indicator that fits tightly into a 1mm hole in the faceplate.
It is kept in place on the LED with heat shrink tube.

Super job on the amp by the way, puts many a commercial jobby to shame.
