Thank you everyone for contributing. I am sorry I have not chimed in for a little bit but alas I have moved house. I am getting used to the new room and figureing it out. L shape lounge kitchen combined "Open Plan" they call it. My Krell amp is still broken and it seems my setup has a stronger sense of hum than the other house.
Anothing thing I am experiencing is a big "Pop" on the speakers when I switch the room lights on. I have never experienced this before. The lights a typical down lights. Not sure if they are 12 volt or 240 volt.
Neighbourhood is super quiet though, with a bit of room treatment I should get the system sorted out...... I will report back in a few weeks.
