1. did I converted this harmonic distortion figures (from
dB to %) right?
fundamental is 29dB
2nd harmonic = 42.5dB (0.026%)
3rd harmonic = 62dB (0.0028%)
5th harmonic = 57dB (0.005%)
7th harmonic = 54dB (0.007%)
2.these are good results?
3.how are 5th and 7th harmonics affect the sound?
thanks!

Hello bogdan_borko,
1- If the fundamental is +29dB, and all your harmonics are -xxdB, then your procedure is OK
If your harmonics are xxdB below the fundamental then not OK. (e.g. the 2nd harmonic would be at 0.75%)
2- the 2nd harmonic is 0.027%
The others are OK For me these are good results. It does not mean that it is good sounding.
3- Hot question!
IMO, less is better for Hi-Fi.
Best regards

Hi bogdan_borko,
IMO : It is an abbreviation.
There are also some other shortcuts that are used as
'IMO' = In My Opinion
'BTW' = By The Way
'ASAP' = As Soon As Possible
'AFAIK' = As Far As I Know'.
You will see also 'LOL', very used, bur I have still to find what it means.
Do you know what it means ?
Regards
