Tubelab SE for 45 tubes
I waited until everything sorted to post my pics. Very satified with the amp but sure brake in still a long way from completed. Here are the particulars:
Walnut base made by a local craftsman.
.2 T6061 aluminum untreated after glass beading (my wife liked the look)
Electra Print output transformers and choke (Choke 105 ohm resistance 10 H)
Edcor XPWR093 power transformer, way over spec but runs about body temp after being on 6 hours.
ASC (Angela Inst.) motor run caps 2X 50uF
1'st cap 20uF Aeon 1200 V poly film
2'nd Cap 470uF Panasonic ( + the motor run caps)
Where possible resistors that are 2 watt and above are Mills and Vishay wire wound and rated above spec for wattage.
Coax from RCA inputs to board.
Signal resistor's Tackman REY 1/4 watt with the exception of the grid stoppers are Riken Ohm carbon comp and the input loading resistor's are Texas Components buld metal foils
I loaded the HV center tap with 68 ohms and added a CL-140 in series with that. HV Tap is on a separate switch after main power switch.
The main power has a CL-90 termistor. It takes around 2 minutes for everything to come up to full voltage.
5U4G rectifier
RCA 4852
Sylvania and Cunningham 45 (the Cunningsham were sold as LOW LIFE but sound the best.)
Toshiba 2SK3564 Mosfets
The amp runs cool. It is dead quiet and seems to reject the pickup of noise from turning off/on various lights and devices on the same breaker. It is better in this regard than any amp I have ever owned. The power supply is great. HATS OFF TO GEORGE AND TUBELAB

Looks great! What are those switches for? What are you doing for preamplification?
HV Tap is on a separate switch after main power switch.

Very nice build, Humax. How does it sound?
Sorry, waltroman, just saw this now. The speakers are JM Lab Electra 905.
I recently acquired a pair of Fostex FF105WK and FE103-SOL to start experimenting with enclosure building.
Nice amp Jeff, what speakers are you using?

Did you waterjet the top panel? It looks great!

Thanks! Nope, I measured and marked with pencil, used an automatic center punch to make the starting dents, and then drilled by hand. The panel itself was cut out of the chassis top with a rotary tool and cutoff disc.
