I am planning to build a 6-channel pre-amp.
For this i want to make modular boards, each board controlling a channel.
The volume controlling will be done with a PGA2310.
But since i only need one channel of it, what should i do with the other ?
1. tie in-/outputs low with a resistor
2. put it in parallel to the used channel
any advice ?

Neither will do any good. Assuming the non-used channel is muted just leave the output alone. You may wish to ground the input although this will hardly make much difference.
Wouldn't you want to use 3 units for the 6 channels? Any reason why you want to use 6 units?
Each board will contain 1 (mono) channel.
So 1 unit per board.
In case of using the DVD as input all boards will be used separate.
And when playing from CD/AUX/TV/Whatever, 2 x 3 boards are put in parallel, like Accuphase is doing !
