I think that depends on if you buy the non-isolated or isolated chip. I do believe they make both kinds of the 4780 just like they do of the 3886 and the 3875

Proper layout?

Wondering if there are suggestions for the recommended distance between the board and the (toroid) power transformer? Will a spacing of a couple inches from the power side of the PC board cause any hum pickup problems? Does transformer orientation matter? Thanks,

You can have the transformer rather close if it's a toroid. A couple of inches will be perfectly alright.

This beauty sounds great. I am testing it with a 2x25V toroid.

Its dead quit, unless you play music of course. No hum or other rubbish. Pure music.

Soon i will post photos of the results.

Here are the photo's. I am waiting for silpads for 7812/7912 so they are not bolted on the heatsink yet. I like wago's, but my local supplier doesn't sell them, and i had the blue ones laying around.
