Paradise Builders

I just salvaged a nice transformer from a JVC home theatre, and measured it to 18,4-18,4v unloaded. with a simple prereg. and both paradise boards connected, i measure +/-23v and all the leds are glowing. Best of all the heatsinks cant be used as a stowe anymore, temp. around 40 degrees Celsius.
So how low can we go.:D

Leaving 5V (23V-18V) for the current sources is a low number, I think it should not go below that. While they will still be working, the noise isolation they provide will degrade a little bit, due to the VAS parameter of the bipolars increasing at low VCE - not dramatic though. Maybe Frans has looked into this, any comments?

The 23Vdc is below spec :) you need a bit more.

A quick run in the simulator shows these output residuals for:
Green 25Vdc, Blue 24Vdc and Red 23Vdc.

As you see 23Vdc is marginal.
