Hello all,
I am a student and we are having a gallery opening. I want to build one of these..

Basically, I've read on other forums that a wok, a plastic bowl, an old satellite dish would all be good reflectors. I was thinking of mounting 2 small speakers in a foam lined box aimed at the dish and just playing with the distance to get the right sound. This does not need to be high fidelity, just isolate the sound. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

Well imao there will be all sorts of funny cancellations and additions across the audio range, but for the midrange it might give what you want. Locally we have two large reflectors like this about 3m in diameter outside about 30m apart, you can whisper in one and hear it in the other.
