So wavebourn, 3 prong wire but no EMI filter?
Right. But if your device emits EMI it must have a filter.
I wanted the smile with the one stage amp! How do you position them?
The I bar must have defaulted to the top left of your post, just delete smiley and reposition your I bar to where you want it to be........
So does adding an EMI filter like

hurt if I want to add one just to be sure?
Also, should I upgrade the tubes or are the stock ones okay? I think they are 11MS8's...

Update: Final verdict in favor of upgrading the K-502. I'm going to upgrade PS tranfo and OPT. There is already a chassis made for the K-12G and I'm fairly certain that the K-502 will fit in just nicely. The tubes in the K-502 are nice. I'm tired of reading and not building.

Yes, you certainly can be sure that adding a capacitive divider to ground you divide the garbage between power lines and apply it to the ground wire.
I just ordered from Dynakit. I was kind of up in the air about it then called Dynakit to ask a really quick question and he was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful with talking me through a number of points. It's on the way (Along with EL84's and JJ ECC832 /
12DW7's)!
12DW7's)!
