Output from FM tuner too high level

Hi

I have a wonderful FM tuner (Micromega with fixed output level) and an Audiolab 8000S integrated amp. The output from the tuner is very loud, I have to turn the volume to 7½, almost entirely down, and it is still very loud.
Can I make a voltage divider with some resistors soldered into the RCA plugs? I do not want to mod the tuner or the amp, that fits well with my CDP as to volume.

Which resistor values to use?? Any other suggestions?

Hi,
I am surprised that the Tuner & 8000S are not compatible.
The 8000S should need more gain to play the tuner than the CDP.

Can you measure the output of the tuner with a DMM?

If the tuner is putting out more than about 200mV average then consider an attenuator built inside an RCA phono plug (at the 8000S amp end). It is only two resistors for each channel.
