If I use the digital out on my CDP only, does changing the opamp makes a difference ?
No, because it's not inside the signal path.
I am looking to swap the OPA2604 to OPA627.
That's only a waste of money. Better go for a good dinner!
Hi wongmb,
The OPA2604 is dual op-amp (OPA627 is single). In general you should replace op-amps with the same type. For example, OPA2604 with OPA2134.
If you use the digital out on your CDP, then this digital signal will be converted to analog signal somewhere (eg. in your DAC box). Right after this DAC, you will probably find an op-amp. There you can replace with your OPA627 if it were single op-amp.
