I've calculated a bit, and I just wondered if you Mad_K think that the Austerlitz KS160 heatsink at elfa (75-626-55) would be sufficient for both of the chips, in this parallell setup driving a 4ohm sub?

Isn't 600VA a bit overkill? (and budget killer )

How do I build a softstart circuit?

When you say 200W, do you mean peak or RMS?

sorry-didn't see this on. 600va is overkill (but not that big difference in price). I would recommend a 300va one instead (I was thinking stereo). Then you also don't need a soft-start.

for paralell opa541: ((10A*0,707)^2)*4=200Wrms

THAT IS CORRECT

from opa541 datasheet "Voltage swing=Vs-5,5 @Iout=5A"

The wattage @4/2 are normally limited by current P=((I*root2)^2)*R. R=8/4/2..

Ipeak=V/R. Irms=Ipeak*root2. for Prms use Vrms and Irms.

-This was wrong It's 1/root2 where it says root2... (0,707 for practical purposes)
