I discussed with Nelson about the possibility to change my DCX 2496 for an analog filter.
But i have a pb with the allignment of the drivers. I listen this system to " la maison de l'audiophile " to Paris. At this time, this system turned with a passif filter and the output driver ( Dauphin horn + tad and onken tweeter) was allign on the front of the ONKEN 360.
The drivers allignment of my system is the same.
bass crossover 310 hz / 48 db Linkwitz
Mid crossover 310 hz : 48 db and 6860 hz / 24 db idem
Treeble crossover 6860 hz / 24 db idem
For me and my small past experience it's not necessary to do a correction on phase and delay time.
But the DCX results are not the same.
Bass : in phase delay time : 398 mm - real distance of the coil / front ONKEN : 100 mm
mid : inverter phase delay time : 0 - real distance of the coil / front ONKEN 560 mm
treeble : in phase delay time : 564 mm - real distance of the coil / front ONKEN : 60 mm
For me the DCX try to allign the driver coils.
What's the good alligment ?
