The problem with LAT is that it didn't really improve upon what a standard loudspeaker can do. They turned the cone sideways, used multiple cones which were connected together by a central pole. It is still bound by the same properties of a regular loudspeaker: high output + deep bass = large cabinet.infinia said:I assume LAT technology is dead in the water at least for now.
The technology won't take off unless it does something that existing technology can't. The only way for something like this to succeed is then by marketing the bejeebus of it Bose style .
