I'm about to buy some 70-20xr-am for a project do you think they are worth the price against lower cost tweets?

I really wonder if the difference is worth the price..

Also, do you think they would merge well with SS illuminator 12mu 4ohm?

I'm still wondering if i should change the 12mu for a neo10 or neo8 and change the raal for something cheaper.

Isn't 20xr a model that is modified to whatever manufacturer specifies? Do you have the ability to fully measure the driver?
The difference is not always to the "better" with the price increase, it's just different in the application.

too late bought them used on ebay.. I think the only thing you can change is sensitivity and impedance.. but I wonder if I will be able to change it myself..

The Illuminators and RAALs should work well together. Rick at Selah Audio uses them together for some of his speakers.
