Not yet. I do not have a chance to make comparison to any IC Op-amp.
But I would like to if I have the chance. This is the best sounding pre-amp in my stereo system that I had ever have including those well known factory built pre-amps such as Pioneer and GAS. I feel very happy with the performance of this pre-amp. Highly recommend.

It is guaranteed to be different.
There are no monolithic ICs that I know of that use JFETs throughout, or JFETs in the outputs... the spectra of distortion from the devices themselves (JFETs vs. Bipolars) is inherently different, pretty easy to measure.
As to the audibility, I'll leave it to you to decide if you can hear it.
