stay away from the sovteks man they sound weak and trebly now the LPS is better but there is MUCH better sounding 12ax7/ecc83s out there, for current production the JJecc83 really has butt loads of gain but rather lifeless sounding and believe it or not I thought the groove tubes 12ax7-c sounded good loads of gain and fairly dynamic, its hard to get a decent sounding current production 12ax7 was never much a fan of the Chinese or Russian tubes although my old Jcm800 I use to have had some Svetlana's 12ax7 in it and man they sounded kick *** like way better than this new stuff I should of kept them lol
