A good source for learning is the manufactures application notes and data sheets. Check also as many amps designs you can. You can learn a lot in seeing have others have done.

They're usually used as source followers in the output stage. As peranders says you can do a search (I found this one under "mosfet output stage") Most of the output stages are quite similar with differing front ends.
