Did you ever get your supply running? Have you tried the coupled-inductors for the outputs? Results, please.

BTW, I found a DC-DC for 12V that will power a Book PC and survives engine cranking (down to 6V I think). Let me know if you're interested, and I will post the link.

I have not done this yet, because I have not had the time, but It does look promising. I did collect all the parts, just not enough time to do a pc board........................
