Hi

IMO, it is not so much which transistor but rather the design. There are some devices that are better than others for a particular design. The output impedance will have an influence on which transistors are suitable. Cost and availability may have an influence as well. Just watch out for fakes.:smash: More info is needed for anyone to make an accurate suggestion.

Its the cicuit design that has a "sound", and it will only sound its best (or work at all) if the transistors are not under specified for there specific use in the circuit. Picking the right transistors is not an easy task especialy after the input stage. Current, voltage and power limits are just the start, then theres Beta, Freq response, Beta droop, early voltage, Beta variation with Ic and Vce, packaging, cost availability and other transitor characteristics that may or may not matter depending on where they are used.

Thats the best thing about this forum, ask and some one will answer.

But to answer this question one needs more info, the circuit design.
