Hi All,
Can somebody advice me a 10 or 12 inch woofer that would perform reasonable in multiple types of subwoofers?
Oh, I want to build a pretty large sized subwoofer (35 cm x 50 cm x 200 cm), using two identical woofers, which I can relatively easy transfer from one type to the other. That is a removable back panel and internal panels, from the outside always looking the same. See picture below.
To compensate for a volume that is too big for a sealed or ported design, I am planning to just add a bag of sand in the specific compartment.
At this moment I am expecting most from the TL design...
Somebody experience or advice?
Best regards,
Caratje

That is one ambicious project. I think the box will be hard to design properly.
As for the driver matter, I would recommend Infinity Kappa Perfect VQ subwoofers. Their Q factor can be varied from 0,3 to 0,7 just by changing removable metal polepiece inserts so it can sound good in various boxes.
