I have the CD6002 too. For the schematic I have used the schematic of the SA8400, which has the same output section as the SA7001 and CD6002. Values are 99,9% the same. Only some parts are in smd in the CD6002.

As a test I by-passed the output electrolutics and muting transistors. This gives a small improvement. I am curious what you are going to do to the CD6002!

This thread is a great read regarding modding Marantz CD players.

I will be modding mine in the next few weeks and will put a detailed list of what I changed and what difference it made.
Perhaps we can create a valuable resource if we keep each other up to date here.
Cheers and good luck

Great! I am very interested in what you going to do to the CD6002.

Is the CD6002 similar to the CD6003?
Not exactly but I'll bet that it is 95% identical, just as the SA7001 and SA8400 are. So most CD6002 mods can be used on the CD6003 as well.

I have the 6003 service manual if its useful to anyone.

Nope, apart from sticking some bitumen damping material to the casing to remove vibrations, nothing. Currently I am using the CD6002 as a transport only with a Twisted Pear Audio DAC. Of course I am interested if anyone had done some mods to the digital circuitry.
