Hi everybody,
I builded a prototype of my vented 2way loudspeaker and want to mesure box losses. The book loudspeaker cookbook suggest to generate a impedance curve. Should I generate this curve with both the tweeter and driver connected ?
Can I use this technique like I did when testing my driver:
http://sound.westhost.com/tsp.htm
Also, do you have suggestion of sites explaining a good technique to produce a frequency response curve with a mic ?
Thanks,
REALFLEO

It is best to measure driver impedance without a crossover connected, whether you are measuring free air or in a box.
I don't remember the formulas for loss offhand, it is in the LDC, but a measurement of impedance at a few key frequencies should be sufficient and any measurement of impedance should work.
