Clock kit
Hello
I recently purchased and assembled a clock kit for my fairly well modded 67, i know should've done it earlier but the problem is this, on the board the input is marked as 12v a.c. I'm no expert but this seems odd. This was bought from China so can get no help through email. Otherwise ok - oscons, 317t's etc . Not even sure what design it is, but looks a bit like a flea?
Any help from this brilliant thread and its members would be most appreciated.
with luck a pic will be attached

Well I can see a surface-mount bridge rectifier, so the AC input is not odd.
I wonder why there is a trim-pot-like adjuster under the screening can.
The suspension/isolation is very cool!
Overall it looks very simple and is probably not quite up with an Audiocon Superclock or Sercal C1, was it cheap though??

Woweee that's cheap. A Fleebay item was it?
(Ah, I wondered if that's what the trimmer did, thanks.)

A Maplins job for now.. just to test? or something more 'bespoke from the start... as long as its regulated?
The rectification, smoothing and regulation are all onboard by the looks of things. You just need a small transformer, or to find ~12vac from the CD63 transformer.
OFF TOPIC (as ever...)

That looks really good! Line-level op-amps don't seem to like headphones all that much, but I see the Meta 42 has a separate output buffer IC....
Thanks for the suggestion!
