in audio magazine(from the usa)there is an article titled,

thirty pounds of magnet and an eighteen inch cone.

the author described his making an 18" woofer,

with 30 pounds of alnico in the magnet structure(no kidding).

tom yeago claimed such as his inspiration for his audioexpress,

(or speaker builder) magazine article where he swapped

magnets in some of his speakers.

i have some yamahas that could benifit from some untangling

of the voice coils ,and an old wharfdale woofer too
