Thanks for the info!
Yes i have them here for a while to try some modding.
A friend asked if i could replace internal cabling, add some bracing and possibly swap some crossover components for higher quality ones.
Has anyone ever modified a Focus 140 and is willing to share his experience?

Looking over the info on gattiweb i noticed this is about the 'foccus speaker' a diy kit.
It looks almost identical but does anyone know if the crossover is the same?

If you have the originals, can't you compare them?!Looking over the info on gattiweb i noticed this is about the 'foccus speaker' a diy kit.

Ha, yes i can compare them but not all crossover components have values/labels on them. I can try to measure all components and compare.
There is old thread in one forum about upgrading Focus 140.I have been trying to get my hands on the crossover schematic for the Dynaudio Focus 140 but have not been able to find it.
Can anyone help me with this?
There we follwowing changes:
tweeter -> Morel MDT30
original crossover -> match new tweter + better caps
Internal wiring.
Here is schematics from original crossover:
I suggest the following for your Focus:
C1 -> Auricap XO 4.7/200
C2 -> Auricap XO 10/200
The rest capacitors you can try Mundorf MCap400
Bass network: try both - Mundorf and original - it could be that electrolytic can give some "disdetalisation", which you could like more, as polypropelene caps could be to "clean" there.
Internal wiring: replace it to Audience Auric Hook-up - in upgrade I've mentioned owner reported that replacing wires brings positive changes.
C1 -> Auricap XO 4.7/200
C2 -> Auricap XO 10/200 by xjr100
Maybe C3 could be an Aurycap too, isn't it ?
and what about for L3? a Goertz, 14 AWG
Joe, sure C3 is also critical.Maybe C3 could be an Aurycap too, isn't it ?

About coils - original needs to be measured to match resistanse.
