DIPtrace is nice.

regarding your question, there are probably several ways. here is one:
as an example, i want to show a value for R33.
in schematic, left-click on component R33.
you'll see a part info screen in the upper right screen.
change the circled "Marking 2" selection from "Default" to "Value".

Also is there a way to avoid diptrace in pcb editor to not make corners look like "z"? Sometimes when I wanna move a trace or component the traces go outta wack.

are you talking about the crazy wires sometimes made when you move components in a schematic? You can change the rules for those decisions in setup, but i find it easier and very quick to just move the part where i want it first and fix the trace to the way i want it afterwards. Doing it that way helps me visualize how i will want the layout to look when i'm ready for that.

btw, i'm no diptrace expert by any means, but finding answers helps me learn to use it better.

also, while i'm thinking about it, i haven't been to either site often, but there is both a yahoo users group for diptrace as well as a forum hosted by the program creators.
