Vrms seems good but current, not so much.
(if you're really off your rocker, you could drive your planars with Self's 5532 opamplifier. )
I forgot to say that I wish to stuff everything - board, I/O and power supply - inside a 13" L by 7.75" W by 2.5" H internal diameter enclosure, which really does make me off my rocker.
Probably not.do you need DC protection
I'll be putting everything in the enclosure mentioned above which will be vented from the top only and will look like this (with added holes in the front for outputs of course):how much heat is enough, can you solder point-to-point, can your source swing a lot already, budget, do you want lowest thd possible....?
So heat management won't be that great.
I'd like to think of myself as being proficient with an iron.can you solder point-to-point
I'll be running it using differential input from dual Soekris DAM1021s which have an output of 3.6Vrms.can your source swing a lot already
No budget or other spec requirements apart from voltage swing and current output for now, I'm just seeing what's available before deciding.budget, do you want lowest thd possible....?
bucket,
i'd rule out pure class A as temp would build up too much.
Never heard them, but maybe one of "lazycat" design?
vssa, tssa, etc.
...or f5 with low bias(100mA)....or ACA with low bias and 30V or so rails...
or juma's stuff: cubie 2 with higher rails and lower output fet bias....
