The chip amps are really designed for 8 ohm speakers. If you have the flexibility, arrange your 4x speaker for the amps to power 2 drivers separately each configured at 8 ohms total. Parallel amp operation requires precision that is difficult even for the experts. Pointless doing anything else with these chip amps IMO.
the .5 ohms, yes
each circuit has a 10 ohm on each of their outputs, could this be the issue?
http://www.national.com/an/AN/AN-1192.pdf Look up chapter 6.2. You need to match Rb (R2, R7), Ri (R3, R8) and Rf (R4, R9) to within 0,1 %. Rout (the 0,5 Ohms) can be matched to 1 %.
There could also be a simple grounding issue, when connecting both amps together.
10 Ohm on the outputs?
