I have a diy 350W/8ohms mono power amplifier with LM3886. Very easy to build. It's a parallel/bridge configuration with 2x4 LM3886, drived with a dephasor stage build around a SSM2142P.
Some precautions (or it doesn't work) : gain resistors precision must be lower than 1% (0,1% is OK), in order to have exactly the same gain on each amplifier and also 0,1 ohms precision (or matched) resistor on each LM3886 output.
My amplifier is running since 4 years (driving a subwoofer), never had a problem with it.
